The entire Hobee's
Community was saddened by the recent passing of veteran host Jose Abzun.
Jose worked for the company for a dozen years, first at Mountain View
and then at Sunnyvale, where he was a favorite of customers. Because
Jose was so skilled at greeting customers, answering the phone and circulating
around the dining room, he was often mistaken for a manager. He possessed
a cheerful, "can do" attitude and went out of his way to make Sunnyvale guests
feel at home. Jose was twice a finalist at the Hobee's Achievement
Awards, including the latest ceremony held last month. He will be greatly
missed by his co-workers and devoted patrons.
